This is Adam!
Every year, we organize student programs to connect with new talents and introduce them to Cupole. One of our programs is an internship. Instead of explaining what our internship is about, we interviewed Adam who’s been an intern with us during the spring of 2024.
Adam is currently a fourth-year Industrial Engineering and Management student at Chalmers University of Technology. He describes himself as a problem solver, constantly seeking to optimize processes and operations, ranging from analyzing his local grocery store’s logistics to refining his home cleaning strategies.
Hey Adam! How would you describe your time at Cupole?
Hi! My time as an intern at Cupole has been filled with new impressions and experiences. Right from the start, I was warmly welcomed by the team, and I had the opportunity to be part of two project teams during my internship, meaning I truly got to contribute. What struck me from day one is how Cupole really lives up to its vision of “great minds, big hearts,” permeating how Cupole operates and the atmosphere within the office and each project team. I was given a lot of responsibility and continuous feedback, which has allowed me to develop substantially over these weeks. It has been a great way to gain insight into what management consulting entails at Cupole. Additionally, I participated in social activities including training evenings, Friday after-work gatherings and a summer party, which were all very enjoyable and a way to get closer to the entire team and get a real taste of the full experience as a “Cupolean”.
What did you do during the internship?
During the first week, I participated in Cupole’s training program for interns, which gave me a taste of the tasks and tools a management consultant uses. Additionally, I had the privilege of getting to know some of my colleagues better during several lunches, which was very pleasant. After the solid introduction I have been involved in two project teams where I have contributed with both research and presentations. In one of the projects, I also had the chance to visit a client, thus representing Cupole outside our office, very fun!
Why did you apply for the internship at Cupole?
Ever since I first came into contact with Cupole at a case event at Chalmers, where I study, I have been very interested in Cupole, and especially in the combination of a workplace with very smart and ambitious individuals in a warm and friendly environment. With this vision in mind, I applied to Cupole and I have not regretted it.
Was there anything that stood out during your time as an intern?
The welcoming and ambitious introduction I received during the first week gave me a great introduction to Cupole and provided a fantastic springboard when I immediately got involved in a project team from the second week. During the projects, I have really appreciated the wonderful and friendly atmosphere and the excellent continuous feedback I received to keep developing. I also got the opportunity to present my findings myself to the client, which I found very rewarding. With that in mind, I have to say that the fun and interesting conversations I have had with everyone during coffee breaks, lunches and AWs really stand out and are something I will remember with joy.
Why would you recommend other students to do an internship with Cupole?
Definitely, apply! I am very satisfied and can highly recommend anyone interested in management consulting to apply to Cupole.
