This is Gustav!
At Cupole, we’re a collective of great minds and big hearts. But instead of keeping that for ourselves, we want to give you a chance to read some more about our people and what they have to say about themselves and Cupole. Cupole Academy started this fall and Gustav is one of the new Cupoleans who joined us.
Let’s get to know him!
Hi, Gustav! How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a very curious guy, looking to learn and experience new things at all times, which has been more than possible during my first time at Cupole. I am an avid sports fan, with football catching most of my interest, although I can enjoy hours and hours of almost any sport on a Sunday afternoon as long as it involves dedication and strategy – lately, Formula 1 has caught my eye!
What made you apply to Cupole Academy in the first place?
After spending a year in Singapore during 2020 I realized that being around people you like, building a family-like bond, is key to enjoying life. From the first time speaking to people at Cupole, I 100% got a family-feeling, where people care and support each other both with work and in their personal lives.
Cupole is definitely also the one firm that really does consulting in their own way, with passion, challenging the larger incumbent management consulting firms to a high degree!
What were you looking forward to when starting at Cupole?
First of all I really wanted to get out into projects, delivering value to clients and building relationships. Studying is fun but getting to see what levels I could reach out in the real world as an individual was high up on my list!
How has the experience been so far?
Great, just great! Nothing about my initial view of Cupole has been worse than expected, rather it has surpassed my expectations! The people here are amazing, smart, curious and kind – it really does feel like a family. We do lots of things outside of work to celebrate our achievements, but we put in the work and you get a lot of responsibility and challenging tasks to develop!
Planning on doing anything fun this winter?
Maybe a bit untimely considering christmas, but I plan on renovating my apartment. Maybe not the most fun for all people, but hopefully the end result will be worth it!
Finally, what is your advice to anyone that is interested in applying to Cupole Academy?
Do not be afraid of reaching out to anyone here at Cupole to ask questions, ask for a coffee or lunch! Make sure you really get a good understanding of who we are! Curiosity is something we value, so don’t hesitate!
Secondly, just apply! You don’t have to ace every aspect of the application process – who you are as a person, and your fit within the company, is valued just as much as your case-skills!
Good luck!!
