We welcome Astrid Vikingsdotter Johansson, who joined us as management consultant a couple of weeks ago.
To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m originally from Gothenburg, I’ve settled in Stockholm after a year of calling it home. My global upbringing in the USA and China taught me the value of openness and cultural diversity.
With a BSc in Corporate Sustainability and an MSc in Business Management from the Stockholm School of Economics, I’ve lived and worked in Copenhagen, London, and Berlin, enriching my international perspective.
In my free time, I enjoy yoga, running in the forest, and skiing in Åre.
After being a Cupolean fora couple of months, what has been your key takeaway from this time?
Cupole is a generous, people-centric organization, investing significant time and resources into our personal development. This creates a safe space that boosts collaboration and individual growth.
Being part of a growing, entrepreneurial consultancy firm allows us to initiate our own projects, participate in graduate recruiting, and organize fun team events outside work hours.
A major eye-opener has been the immense value of teamwork. While we make good progress individually, working together with committed and smart colleagues amplifies our success and makes the experience incredibly enjoyable.
What are you looking forward to the most during your first year as a management consultant?
I’m eager to dive into the diverse industry exposure that consulting offers, especially with Cupole as part of the Eidra platform. The variety of projects, industries, and people in management consulting is like compressing several years of experience into one, and I’m excited to accelerate my development and expand my consultant toolbox.
I’m also keen to explore the synergy between Eidra and Cupole, as I believe this relationship is key to achieving the broad exposure I’m seeking.
Do you have any advice for someone interested in applying to Cupole?
If you desire to work for a company who sees YOU for the person you are. Also, thrive in a high-paced and intellectually stimulating environment – this really is the right place for you. Then to succeed in the application, assessment, and interview phase – just be you, that´s going to take you here! & remember that heart & mind are both important and a value that Cupole strongly manifests.
Lastly, we’re all about discovering the hidden gems. Do you have a surprising talent or interest you’d like to share?
A hidden interest turned talent that I possess is the ability to read tarot cards as a spiritual guide and I love everything astrological!
Thank you, Astrid! For our readers, stay tuned for more from our Cupoleans. Read more about life at Cupole here
