Let’s hear some from two of our Cupoleans whom first-hand experienced the program, Stefan and Sara. Stefan attended the program in 2020, and Sara the following year.
What made you apply to the program?
This is Stefan!
Stefan: I met representatives from Cupole at an event in the fall of ’19 and wanted to get hands-on experience with Cupole to find out more about the company and management consulting.
Sara: I applied to Launch as I wanted to get to know Cupole better and the program offered the perfect mix of social and educational activities.
Can you tell us a little about your experience?
Stefan: Launch was the perfect starting platform for learning more about Cupole as well as getting introduced to practical consulting tools. The program consisted of meetups, education, fun activities, and extensive case training.
Sara: I really enjoyed the Launch program, and its combination of educational, practical, and social components. The program gave me the opportunity to get to know both Cupole and management consulting better. During the program, I learned a lot about what it means to work within management consulting and deepened my understanding of the tools needed, especially in the last part of the program “war-room”. During the program I got to know Cupole, its culture and its employees better. Even if the program was during the pandemic, Cupole succeeded with making the events interactive and fun.
How was it combining this program with your studies?
This is Sara!
Stefan: Launch did not take away focus from my studies. Launch gave me an addition to my studies where I could see how I would apply my theoretical knowledge in practice, in my future career.
Sara: Most of the events were held during late-afternoons and evenings, and well planned in advance. It was easy to attend and combine the program with my studies
What’s your takeaway from the program?
Stefan: Launch was a great way for me to get a feel for consulting and Cupole. The program enables you to grasp consulting, understand the Cupole culture and meet potential future colleagues.
Sara: Cupole and its ambitious, warm and welcoming culture and people really made a lasting positive impression, making me apply to Cupole after my studies.
Last question, do you want to say anything to students thinking of applying?
Stefan: As a student, you might want to get first-hand experience of consulting before making your future career choice. The Launch program gives insight in Cupole, the people behind the company logo and the tools used.
Sara: I encourage everyone interested in management consulting to apply! This program gives you great insights into Cupole and what it means to work with management consulting at the firm.
